Youth Development and Education
EVENT DATE: Mar 16, 2014
DEADLINE TO GIVE: Apr 07, 2014
The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati Youth Development and Education Program is committed to improving the quality of life for children and youth across our community. But, we need your help. Your generosity provides kids a safe place to go when school is out- helping them succeed in school and life and keeping their minds and bodies active all summer long. At the Y, we believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids and our community.
Every day after school, the Y supports over 1,000 students in the Cincinnati Public School district, helping them improve their academic performance, laying a foundation for a healthy lifestyle and instilling positive life skills. And the Y makes sure that learning doesn’t stop when summer rolls around. The Y’s summer camps provide fun and adventure, but also help youth return to school ready to learn the next year. Because of these programs, youth have opportunities to learn, grow and thrive all year round. In fact, the afterschool program is so successful that it was recently selected as the Y-USA national signature program for replication at Ys across the country.
The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati Youth Development and Education Program strives to raise $5,000 in the 2013 community annual support campaign. Collectively, in 2012, the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati awarded nearly $3 million in financial assistance to people in our community. Together we can do so much more for our community. When you give to the Y, your gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact right in your own neighborhood. Make a gift today.
