1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Serving more than 9,100 individuals each year, YWCA of San Diego County empowers women, men, and children to break the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness, and achieve self-sufficiency.

Your Gift Impact:
Every gift makes a difference for survivors and their children, funding critical needs such as those highlighted below.
$25 Transportation: 1 week of transportation for a mother and child to attend work, school, job interviews, and medical appointments.
$100 Food: 1 week of food for a parent and child seeking safety in our emergency shelter.
$250 Legal Services: In-house legal support for a domestic violence survivor to secure protection and pursue custody and other family law matters.
$850 Emergency Shelter: 1 week of emergency shelter, individualized trauma services, and safety planning for a family escaping domestic violence.
$1,500 Household Needs: Matresses, blankets, towels, kitchen essentials, and other goods for a parent and three children to establish their new home.
$5,000 Emergency Family Support: Confidential housing and 24-hour services in our emergency shelter, including crisis counseling, case management, and educational support for children during each family's stay.
$15,000 Transitional Family Support: Stable housing and life-changing services in our transitional housing program for an individual or parent with children to fully prepare for independent living through case management, employment assistance, educational support, and housing planning services to help them achieve their goals.
