BENEFITING: Ywca of Western Massachusetts
EVENT DATE: Oct 01, 2017
YOUR GIFT CAN SAVE A LIFE. For the past 149 years, the YWCA of Western Massachusetts has provided critical services to the families and individuals struggling to free themselves from domestic violence. Our signature programming provides not only emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, but also individual and group counseling, court and medical advocacy, clinical support for children who witness violence, and supervised visitation services. Together in partnership with the survivors and children we serve, we work toward a future free from violence and abuse - a future of love, respect, and self-determination. Now, as a participant in the Allstate Purple Purse Campaign, you can be a part of this mission, too.
It doesn't matter how much or how little you have to give - everyone can make a difference. What does $5 mean to a survivor of domestic violence? It could mean a warm pair of gloves for a child who arrived in shelter with just the clothes on her back. $30 might mean a set of clothes to give to a rape survivor leaving a hospital after she's had her own clothes taken into evidence. $50 might help a survivor in shelter to pay for a driver's license so she can travel to and from a job, making money to get back on her feet and free herself from financial abuse.
Please give today! Your gift will help us to sustain flexible, creative, survivor-centered programming that is able to respond to each person's unique circumstances. Together, we can make a difference.
