The YWCA Greater Baltimore provides housing and support services to women and families experiencing homelessness. Our programs enable those we serve to overcome structural barriers to equity, heal from the traumas of homelessness and poverty, and achieve and sustain economic self-sufficiency. Our affordable, high-quality preschool programs provide a nurturing, developmentally supportive environment for children and help to ensure that they enter school ready to learn. Our school-age childcare programs, likewise, provide fun, safe, and creative wraparound care for kids, enabling their parents to work without worry. In addition, the YWCA Greater Baltimore works in collaboration with partner organizations to promote racial equity in our society and its institutions.
