THE STORY:

Bryn Johnson wrote -

Zack Pace was an incredible band director to White Knoll High School from the school's opening in 2000 until 2009. He built the marching band program from the ground up, was a mentor and a motivator. He pushed his band members to have Eyes With Pride and to be the best that they can be. The money you donate is going to be given to his wife, Heather, and 2 children, Robert and Emily, that he left behind. The money will help pay for memorial/funeral costs and whatever else the family might need during this difficult time.

In remembrance of a man who changed my daughter (Shauna Crissey) and my son-in law (Josh Crissey)'s lives forever though the goodness of his heart. He was their band instructor, throughout their years at WKHS. He was a positive role model, a mentor, and so much more. They loved him dearly and always will...I know. My prayers are with you Heather, and your 2 children. 2 years ago

I'm saddened by the news. Although I was only in band for a couple years, I will always remember Mr. Pace's ability to see students' potential. He wanted his students to succeed and pushed (in good ways) to help them achieve their goals. He taught the importance of working as a team and taking pride in your music/work. The world needs more teachers like Mr. Pace. 2 years ago

Even though he and I did not always see eye to eye, I respected Mr. Pace and he reciprocated. He was one of the few instructors during my school career where it was abundantly obvious how much he cared. 2 years ago

For a great man who was a second father and a great friend! The average funeral costs between 7-10 thousand. I think that with everyone's help we can put a big dent in that number. We are already a good way to the goal and with only a couple people's help. Let's give back as much as he gave to all of us. I know we all have our own lives to live but put it aside for one moment as he put aside many of his for all of us. We will never forget what he has done for us and everyone he knew. His family should be extremely proud of the man he was. Shauna and I love you Zack Pace. 2 years ago
