Ziwa the elephant was found protecting his sick mother, Zombe at a watering hole. Zombe was on the brink of death, so one of the scientists decided to put her out of her misery and euthanize her. Ziwa was taken back to the nursery. When they arrived back they decide to name her Ziwa, which means waterhole in Swahili. Ziwa was then and was held in a safe stockade to heal for a few days. After 5 days, Ziwa was brought back into the main area. Ziwa is now in good condition and is very healthy. Ziwa is now 4 years old. Your donation will help improve the living conditions for elephants in Africa. Thank you!
